Fight for the Bike Trails: Public Comment Period Now Open

Last week, Save Red Rock proudly announced the Red Rock Canyon Legacy Trails has been designated as the top capital project funding priority for SNPLMA Round 18. Now, we need YOUR help to ensure the project maintains its status!

The Bureau of Land Management has opened a public comment period for SNPLMA Round 18. You can write, email or call the BLM to let them know how important it is to have the Legacy Trails funded!

Public comments are accepted now through Wednesday, April 14. Comments can be mailed to: SNPLMA Executive Committee Chair, BLM Southern Nevada District Office, 4701 N. Torrey Pines Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89130.

Comments are also accepted via fax to the attention of the SNPLMA Executive Committee Chair at (702) 515-5110; or can be emailed to snplma@blm.gov.

The SNPLMA Executive Committee and the Tahoe Regional Executive Committee will meet in May to review comments received and develop a final recommendation for consideration by the Secretary of the Department of the Interior in consultation with the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture. Questions may be addressed to the SNPLMA Division, Southern Nevada District Office at (702) 515-5116, or the Nevada State Office at (775) 861-6401.
